Clear aligners are removable, nearly invisible, and easier to keep clean around, but they require discipline, since they only work if you wear them 20+ hours a day.

Traditional braces are fixed, which makes them a better fit for more complex bite corrections and for patients who know they won't reliably wear removable aligners.
